What a weird week it’s been weather wise….it’s so hard to know what to cook. We’ve gone from ‘i’m too hot to even contemplate eating’, to comfort food and jumpers. I’m trying really hard at this very moment to stop myself giving the heating a quick blast. My current view
It’s a month today since my cookbook came out, and I’ve been completely blown away by all of the messages I’ve received from you, saying how much you like the recipes and the weekly meal planner in the front of the book…..so, to say thank you, I thought I’d do you another meal planner!
Half Term next week….so that means we’ve lived in Cornwall for a whole 6 weeks! We couldn’t have moved at a better time weather-wise. Beautiful country walks up to the school and long lazy days weekends on the beach……I’m trying not to think about October when the damp and mist will set in!
A couple of weeks back I decided to bake a swiss roll. To be honest i don’t massively enjoy baking. The bakes in my book are mostly ones that I have cooked for years – so are not stress inducing. Usually, any new bakes, are a cupboard slamming, sweary process –
What a busy few weeks it’s been. We’re all still settling into Cornish life – new house, new school….and my book came out last week! Everything still seems so new. The past few weeks have bought daily excitement, stresses…….and challenges, so I am now at the stage, that I am craving some normal!
This seems to have become my go-to ‘cooking for friends’ dinner! I love the fact that it feeds many, I can knock it up in about 15 minutes in the morning, then pop it in the oven an hour before I need it. Continue reading “Sausage & Bacon Stew”
I have three (opened) pots of dried Tarragon in my spice cupboard. Not very savvy shopping, I agree. I obviously panic bought it at some stage, only to leave it mouldering at the back of the cupboard.
