When I hear the words salsa verde (admittedly not very often) I think of Master Chef. Food I have never made, as I assume that it will be either too expensive, to fancy or too complicated for me. (The following Masterchef regulars also fit into this category; confit leg of lamb, fondant potato and veloute??!)
Yesterday was pizza night. I made a really quick pizza base using half a packet of Aldi bread mix and it worked really well. So today, I have the other half of that packet of bread mix to use up…….
Following on from my last blog Roasted Onion & Parmesan Soup, I had half a block of Parmesan cheese that I wanted to use up, as well as a head of broccoli…..another one of this weeks Aldi Super 6!
I am not usually one for healthy smoothies……or elaborate breakfasts come to that, but I’m trying to eat more fruit. I don’t often have breakfast, as I never seem to have time to eat it! I wanted to come up with a quick smoothie that doesn’t cost too much, is quick to make and is more filling than the all fruit smoothie.
How do you eat yours?……….. There are a couple of things we have in abundance this week; brown bananas and Cadburys’ Creme Eggs! We came back from a weekend away, to a bowl full of mouldering fruit and the boys had, not one, but 7 Cadburys’ Creme Eggs, each hidden in their Easter egg mountain!
